Last Epoch is an action-RPG developed and published by Eleventh Hour Games that combines time travel, exciting dungeon crawling, fascinating character customization, and endless replayability to satisfy both experienced and new players. The game is available on GeForce Now, Linux, and Microsoft Windows on February 21, 2024. Players will travel to Eterra's past, face dark empires, wrathful Gods and untouched wilds, and find a way to protect time from the erosion of The Void.
In Last Epoch, you can find Graveyards everywhere. But there is a very special graveyard in Last Epoch’s Imperial Era, where many tombstones are engraved with the names of some special people who played a key role in the birth of Last Epoch. This special area is called Hallowed Graveyard, and it is filled with some very special zombies.
In Imperial Era, to find Hallowed Graveyard, you need to first travel to and through Imperial Welryn, and then reach Soul Wardens’ Road to find Hallowed Graveyard entrance.
Before you begin your journey, make sure you have selected your subclass and successfully defeated Emperor’s Remains in Ruined Era. Next, travel through Outcast Camp, then past Welryn Outskirts and Imperial Welryn, and finally reach Soul Wardens’ Road.
Hallowed Graveyard is not as scary as it sounds, and there are not many dangers inside. You should be around level 25, but if you’re not, that’s fine. Shortly after entering Soul Wardens’ Road, you’ll find a waypoint. Look for the entrance to the graveyard in the northeast corner of the map. If you reach the entrance to Ruins of Etendell, you may have strayed off course and need to go back and explore again.
When you arrive at Hallowed Graveyard, you’ll notice that it’s different from other areas in Last Epoch. There are no enemies to defeat, no loot, and no Last Epoch Gold to pick up. Instead, it’s filled with tombstones with glowing names.
Hallowed Graveyard isn’t actually a playable game area, but a symbolic gesture to thank the players who pledged a large amount of money on Kickstarter. Eleventh Hour Games raised funds for the game’s development through Kickstarter platform, and nearly 3,000 backers pledged more than $250,000 to help Eleventh Hour Games create a top-notch modern action role-playing game (RPG).
For those who invested $250 or more in Last Epoch, their names were engraved on tombstones in Hallowed Graveyard. Players who invested $400 or more received a unique interactive graveyard where a zombie named after them appeared and attacked the player.
This area is essentially a fancy Easter egg that contains no loot or quests, and the zombies don’t provide much experience points. Although the map shows a waypoint, there is actually no waypoint.
If you stumble upon Hallowed Graveyard, you can walk around.
Players can create nearly any build in Last Epoch with the right gear and passive synergies. In this guide, we share powerful leveling builds for players who don’t have enough time to delve into them, but with the right adjustments, they can also be used in the later stages of the game.
While following a specific build guide is not necessary to complete Last Epoch and reach the endgame, it can help new players or players who are unfamiliar with a class to level up faster.
Necromancer summoner build is the easiest way to level up in the game, especially for players who prefer Acolyte class. The core of this build is to summon an army of undead minions to complete combat missions. With the right configuration, not only can the player have a relatively easy game experience, but this build also strikes a good balance between active gameplay and passive summoning.
Necromancer summoner build combines Bone Curse and Blood Rip to apply continuous damage, while relying on Summon Skeletons and Bone Golems to absorb damage. Gear Transplant to increase mobility.
Void Knight is a smart choice for players who like melee combat and are keen on spellcasting. This build not only provides excellent survivability and a solid damage output space, but it is also very simple to operate.
You mainly use melee weapons to quickly subdue opponents by flexibly switching between the two skills Void Cleave and Rive during combat. As for the rest of the skill bar, you can fill it with utility skills or any other offensive spells that appeal to you.
Spellblade combines the characteristics of melee combat and ranged spellcasting, making it one of the top leveling builds in the game. By focusing all points on Mana Strike, you can easily defeat most enemies and gain a lot of Last Epoch Gold in the early game, and then gradually transition to Firebrand and Shatter Strike to further increase your damage output.
Falconer mastery is a fast-paced build in ARPGs. This build excels at dealing devastating blows with skills such as Explosive Trap, Dive Bomb, and Falcon Strike. Thanks to its extraordinary flexibility and explosive output, you will advance the game faster than the normal leveling path, as long as you can adapt and enjoy this kind of fast-reaction gameplay experience.
Bladedancer spec gives Rogue extraordinary mobility and powerful melee attacks, which can quickly clear the battlefield. Among them, Umbral Blades are particularly dazzling, and they are effective in the early stage with Puncture.
Once unlocked, combined with Smoke Bomb and Synchronized Strike, it can ensure survival while dealing devastating damage. Although it has a certain degree of operational difficulty, this build shows strong adaptability in the late game.
For players who are eager to explore Primalist, choosing Shaman is definitely a wise choice. This specialization is known for its excellent mobility on Tornado and Storm Crow. By focusing on Attunement, it can effortlessly perform Avalanche and Tempest Strike, which is one of our highly recommended skills.
Through these builds, players can create their own unique characters based on their own game style and preferences, and enjoy the depth and fun brought by Last Epoch.
Last Epoch is an excellent action RPG that is a lot of fun and challenging, thanks to the efforts of developer Eleventh Hour Games. Since its full release, it has grown rapidly in terms of player base, surpassing even Path of Exile to become the most successful game of its kind.
In Last Epoch, dungeons are one highlight of player exploration, as they contain valuable loot, including powerful weapons and armor. To enter these dungeons, special dungeon keys are required.
After completing the second chapter of the previous Last Epoch, players will enter End of Time era. Monoliths are randomly scattered around the map, which test players as daunting missions or Echoes. Players who successfully complete these challenges will be rewarded with a golden loot box. These treasure chests contain some rare equipment, weapons and Last Epoch Gold, and may also contain keys to dungeons.
Although these golden loot boxes are rare and not guaranteed to be obtained, players can significantly increase their chances of obtaining them by completing numerous monoliths. Additionally, these golden loot boxes are not only found in monoliths, but can also be found in specific areas of the map and within dungeons.
The contents of each loot box are randomly generated, so even if a loot box has already been opened, players can still re-explore those areas in the hope of discovering and opening another golden loot box.
Players can further increase their chances of obtaining a dungeon key by fighting against higher-level enemies and bosses. When players reach level 54, the drop rate increases significantly, and facing stronger enemies increases the chance of obtaining a key.
Players can also obtain dungeon keys by participating in Arena of Champions challenges. These challenges appear in areas marked by red bands on the map and challenge players to hard tasks. Entering these areas requires Arena Keys, which are comparable in difficulty in obtaining dungeon keys.
Players can obtain some special keys by completing Vaults of Uncertain Fate, which require players to have the best build and skills. It is recommended that players try arenas, dungeons or challenge the Vaults of Uncertain Fate after reaching level 45 and unlocking all passive skills.
Although the drop rate of these keys is low, as long as the player maintains sufficient patience and skill level, they can successfully conquer the dungeons and obtain rich rewards. However, for experienced players, dungeons are relatively easy to conquer.
But it is this challenge that makes Last Epoch an exciting and worthwhile game world. For players who love challenges, this game is undoubtedly an exciting adventure that cannot be missed.
In Last Epoch, players have a plethora of early-game resources to help them win battles. From side quests that grant passive points to a robust crafting system, there are tools at hand to help players level up quickly and reach the endgame.
One of the most notable early-game powers is Avarice, a unique pair of gloves whose elemental leech affixes significantly improve players’ survivability. If you want a smoother leveling process, it would be a wise choice to acquire this unique pair of gloves as soon as you reach Last Epoch’s second campaign chapter.
You’ll need to travel to Council Chamber hub area in the second campaign chapter to unlock and complete “Erza’s Ledger” quest. First, when you first enter town, Elder Erza, located to the west of town, will ask for your help in finding his ledger in an abandoned library not far from town.
You’ll need to travel through Last Archive to reach the library. After entering Erza’s Library, you will need to defeat a group of Void enemies to find the ledger. This ledger is located in the upper right corner of the map. After getting the ledger, return to Council Chamber. You can give the ledger to Artem the Gambler or Erza. In order to obtain Avarice, you must return the ledger to Erza. As a thank you, he will give you a unique item and Last Epoch Gold.
In the early stages of the game, players who want to make critical hit builds can obtain a unique amulet called Gambler’s Fallacy by giving the ledger to Artem. However, compared to Avarice’s HP leech, this amulet is not suitable for all builds. Therefore, for most players, it is recommended to obtain an Avarice that is more suitable for their own build by completing other tasks.
Avarice is a glove that can drain health from melee, spells, etc. damage, and has the unique ability to increase a leech rate and improve all elemental resistance. It is an S-tier leveling unique that almost every build desires to obtain.
In summary, Acquiring Avarice early on will undoubtedly give players a substantial advantage.
