Support roles play a key role in maintaining teamwork and improving combat efficiency. Each support role has unique advantages and effects on the team’s coordinated operations. Here are the performances of all support roles in Zenless Zone Zero.
Rina is a versatile Electric support unit. Her universal buffs, including a RES PEN Ratio buff, can significantly increase the team’s damage output.
Not only can she cooperate with other Electric characters, but her versatility also allows her to adapt well to various team compositions. In addition, she also has high mobility and long-range sprinting ability, which can effectively control the crowd. These characteristics make her an indispensable and valuable member of any team.

Soukaku excels in mono-Ice teams, where her Ice DMG buffs and anomaly build-up allow for Freeze and Shatter effects, enhancing overall team synergy. Even in non-Ice teams, Soukaku shines by providing a huge ATK buff, as she is a free 4-star character.
However, she is slightly inferior to other support units, and requires more complex rotations to manage. Despite these challenges, she is still a strong support character.
Lucy can deploy units (such as boars) even outside of combat, causing additional damage and applying stun effects. She is easy to operate and can be quickly replaced when necessary.
Lucy can provide a fixed ATK boost to the entire team, although the increase is not as significant as Soukaku. But her versatility and ease of use allow her to fit into a variety of team configurations, and she works best with characters like Piper, Agent 11, and Koleda. As a result, Lucy is a top 4-star support unit after Soukaku.
Nicole has limited synergy with strong DPS characters, so she doesn’t have as much room to play as other support units. In the absence of being able to create a mono-Ether team, as the only Ether character before Zhu Yuan’s arrival, Nicole is a lower priority in the build because of the lack of synergistic options.
However, she pairs well with Billy or Nekomata, and has great potential as a future Ether unit. Nicole provides an Ether DMG buff, significant DEF shred, and some crowd control, but her skill duration is short, requiring frequent switching into the battlefield to maintain her debuff.
These support roles have all proven themselves to be key in combat. Through reasonable matching and strategic application, players can maximize the potential of these support units and achieve victory in various challenges.
