If your level is not too high, you can choose the following Zones.

The first is Mount Hyjal, which is the first Zone most level 80 players visit, and it is also the most convenient place to farm Obsidium Ore. You just need to find nodes of ore along the edge of this mountain. Obsidium Ore in this Zone is endless, so when you are done exploring other Zones, you can return here to continue mining.

Another Zone suitable for farming Obsidium Ore is Vashj’ir Zone. Since this Zone is underwater, many players give up this Zone because of inconvenient transportation, which leads to less competition for mining here, and you can take a lot of Obsidium Ore.

But it should be noted that before entering Vashj’ir Zone, you need to get Abyssal Seahorse, which you can get in Kelp’thar Forest or Shimmering Expanse. In addition, Deepholm is also a very suitable Zone for farming ore, because it is mostly underground and rich in resources.
