When we come to the endgame of PoE 2, we usually need Waystones to help us arrange the monsters and items that appear on each map. But there is another core mechanism in Path of Exile 2, Realmgate, which plays a different role than Waystones. Realmgate is one of the four key nodes that players get to the endgame.

As one of the core functions of the endgame of Path of Exile 2. Unlike regular map nodes, Realmgate does not use Waystones to traverse, but requires other items that can be found in the game. These items are also very rare, and you can go to Currency Exchange to exchange with other players.

How To Find Realmgate In PoE 2

The location of Realmgate is not difficult to find. When you open the map, you will find Realmgate next to the location where the drawing phase begins. The fastest way to return here is to click Home Icon on the drawing screen. Then your screen will refocus on the location where the drawing phase begins. Realmgate is next to the stone Ziggurat.

The Home Icon will overlap with Red Skull Icon, though this doesn’t always happen. Red Skull Icon indicates the location of Burning Monolith. Burning Monolith’s Home Icon is usually located close to each other, so you only need to click on one to find the other.

Unlike regular map nodes in the endgame, Waystones cannot be used in Realmgate. Instead, the purpose of Realmgate is to guide the player to the end-game Pinnacle Boss fight. There are currently four Pinnacle Boss fights in the game that require Realmgate. Here’s how to access them using Realmgate.

Xesht, We That Are One (Breach Pinnacle Boss)

You need to stack 300 Breach Splinters in your inventory, then you can create a Breachstone. Breachstone is the key to open Realmgate and fight Xesht, We That Are One.

You need to framing ordinary monsters on the map to get Breach Splinters. The drop rate of Breach Splinters is not high, and you usually need to clear several maps. But the good news is that Breach activities are a good way to farm POE 2 Currency. You just need to click Local Knowledge in Breach skill tree to increase the currency drop rate of monsters in grass areas. If you need POE 2 Exalted Orb or various types of Jeweler’s Orb, you can try this activity.

Olroth, Origin Of The Fall (Expeditions Pinnacle Boss)

You need to find a level 79 or higher Logbook (found in Expeditions), then talk to Dannig in Hideout. Only then can you open Realmgate to Olroth, Origin of the Fall.

Dannig will appear randomly in Expeditions maps, just after you talk to him, like the other three Expeditions NPCs (Rog, Gwennen, and Tujen), and then he will live in your Hideout.

Expeditions is a particularly interesting event. You can create explosions in this event. After defeating the enemies that appear after the explosion, you can open various treasure chests. Logbook will appear in the treasure chest.

In addition, Olroth, Origin of the Fall, is also a relatively easy boss. It has very little health and has no resistance to fire and lightning, but it is very resistant to cold and has a high armor value. Players can try to challenge it.

The Simulacrum (Delirium Pinnacle Event)

You need to stack 300 Simulacrum Splinters in your backpack to get The Simulacrum. The Simulacrum can be used to open Realmgate. You can trade The Simulacrum with other players for several POE 2 Divine Orbs.

When you enter the event, you will face 15 waves of Delirium enemies. As you fight further, you will encounter one of Kosis, Revelation and Omniphobia, Fear Manifest. If you don’t kill them quickly, you will end up facing both of them at the same time. It is recommended that you deal with Kosis, the Revelation first, as its freezing will make it difficult for you to move.

King In The Mists (Ritual Pinnacle Boss)

You need to offer Tribute in Ritual Favour to get the reward. An Audience With the King does not appear in the rewards very often. If it does appear, you may not have enough Tribute to redeem it, so when An Audience With the King appears in Ritual rewards, you can hold off until you can redeem it. Once you have An Audience With the King, you can head to Realmgate to start this boss fight.

The King in the Mists is the weakest of all Ritual Pinnacle Bosses, with low resistance, low HP, and moves very similar to a boss in Act I. I believe you can easily defeat it.

The Arbiter or Ash is the real Ultimate Pinnacle Boss of Big Brother Um. They are extremely powerful and can only be found in Burning Monolith, not through the Realmgate. To enter this battle, you need to obtain three Castle Keys through the quest unlocked when you first encounter Burning Monolith.
