Currency should be one of your main tools to progress in POE 2, as there are many currencies in the game, and each one has its own unique role. These roles are not only irreplaceable by other POE 2 Currencies, but also play a key role in your character upgrades.

Among all currencies, Exalted Orbs are mid-range in terms of value and not so eye-catching, but they are considered very important by many players because of their outstanding practicality. For example, it can add additional modifiers to rare items to make them stronger. And like any other modifier type currency, Exalted Orbs can also be used to modify non-equipment items such as Waystones and Flask.

When you enter Path of Exile 2 endgame stage, you will need a lot of Exalted Orbs in order to enhance the properties of the map to improve farming efficiency. Although there are many ways to obtain this orb because of the role brought by some quality of life features, it is recommended that you prioritize the following 6 methods if you want to farm quickly in a short period.

1. Go To The Trade Market

Although this method only works if you have a character in the trading league, it allows you to list your hidden items directly in the trade market. As long as someone comes to trade, the items will be automatically sold. It can be said that you can earn POE 2 Exalted Orbs without consuming almost any time and energy, which is very convenient.

As for the choice of selling items, it is recommended that you give priority to those good items that can help you create a build - provided that you have completed your builds. Because other players who use the same build as you may be lacking these items, so when you list it in the trade market, it is very likely to be sold.

2. Exchange With Other Currencies

As you know, there are many types of currencies or orbs in Path of Exile 2, so sometimes you may get a lot of currencies that you don’t need. To help you sort out your currency inventory, the game allows you to exchange currencies with NPCs at currency exchanges.

Since the currency value of Exalted Orb is at a medium level, it usually takes dozens or even hundreds of ordinary orbs to exchange for one Exalted Orb. But correspondingly, if you want to get Divine Orbs with higher value, you need to give multiple Exalted Orbs.

Generally speaking, extremely rare currencies with very special uses can be obtained when running end-game maps and activities. If you are lucky enough to get dropped Omens or Greater Essences, you can even use them to exchange for hundreds of Exalted Orbs. However, since these rare late-game currencies have their own uses, you need to think carefully before exchanging.

3. Simulacrum Farming

As one of the main endgame events, farming in Simulacrum can bring you a lot of Exalted Orbs. Of course, before that, you’d better use Waystone, Precursor Tablets and Atlas passive skill points to increase the drop rate of orbs, which will save more time.

Although the value of each endgame event will change with the balance adjustment of the endgame activities during the early access update, the drop rate of Exalted Orbs in Simulacrum is still greater than other endgame events now.

4. Breaches Farming

While not as good as Simulacrum, Breaches farming is still very rewarding if you run it on the right map, such as Hideout or any small, easily navigable area. If you can fight the boss Xesht during the event, you should be able to get quite a few orbs.

Of course, we still recommend that you ensure that each Breach provides a steady supply of Splinters before farming Breaches by juicing the map, using Precursor Tablets, or Atlas passive points, so that you can freely exchange Splinters for Exalted Orbs. In fact, running Breaches is also a good way to get other currency and item drops.

5. Rituals Farming

Almost every end-game event can provide you with many drops, but Rituals have a specific way to get a large number of Exalted Orbs if you need them: you will encounter some items after encountering Ritual Altar, which may contain Omens, which can be exchanged for Exalted Orbs.

As a precious endgame resource, Omens can more easily re-roll or remove specific affixes from your equipment for you, which makes a single Omen worth several Exalted Orbs, and the more powerful Greater Omens can be exchanged for up to 10 Divine Orbs, or even hundreds of Exalted Orbs!

However, this method is not flawless, because your chance of encountering Omens in Ritual Altar is quite small, although this can be increased by unlocking related passive points, but the effect is not obvious.

6. Expeditions Farming

As the endgame event with the lowest farming efficiency of orbs, although Expeditions is not popular and the way it works depends on RNG placed explosives. But you have to admit that it still has the function of generating currency.

If you have to farm orbs through Expeditions, it is recommended that you add a little map optimization to it so that Expeditions can drop multiple logbooks on each map. Among them, logbooks above level 79 give you a chance to spawn the boss Olroth, and some of his drops are precious. But if you want Exalted Orbs more, you can trade them by logbooks, each worth multiple Exalted Orbs.
