With the addition of Witch Powers in Diablo 4 Season 7, a series of Occult Gems have been added to the game that can be used to increase these powers. But they are far more than just this way of use, they can also be placed in your build, using the abilities of Class itself to cause more damage to the enemy, and even give Witchcraft Skill Tags to some Classes that do not use such spells.
In PTR of the new season launched in the last month of last year, some lucky players have experienced the power of these Occult Gems as Jewelry in the build. Then this guide will introduce you to Occult Gems that have been confirmed to be added in the official Season 7 and can be placed in the build, but it should be noted that some of the gem properties and statistics in this guide may change in the official season, for reference only.
As mentioned above, Occult Gems are actually gems in Diablo 4 that you can place in Jewelry gear slot to enhance Witch Powers or other damage types you use. Each gem has the required 160 points of Armor and 8% resistance to all damage types, and each gem has its own specific properties and statistics.
These gems can be crafted by an NPC named Gelena in Tree of Whispers. You need to provide various reagents, such as Fugitive Heads, Restless Rot, and Gem Fragments, which are all loot you get during your exploration of D4S7. Once you have these three, you can craft a random Occult Gem. Or if you are not satisfied so, you can also give this Occult Gem and the above three crafting materials to Gelena, so that you can get a more powerful and higher-level Occult Gem.
Although the specific crafting method of this powerful item has not been leaked yet, it can be seen from these that it costs several times less Diablo 4 Gold and other costs than the gems with similar effects in previous seasons. It can be said to be a very cost-effective good gear.
After a thorough understanding of how Occult Gems work, let’s take a look at Occult Gems that will definitely appear in the next season and their effects. Similarly, before the official season is released, all attribute gains and statistics in this guide are for reference only, and everything is subject to the official release.
These are all Occult Gems that will be placed in Jewelry slot in Diablo 4 Season 7. I hope you can try this new gem in the next season and use it to complete the exploration of various Witch Powers. I wish you have fun in the game!

Fans of Diablo 4 can circle January 21, 2025, because on this day, Diablo 4 Season 7 will be launched, bringing new powers and challenges to players.
Season 7 is currently called Season of Witchcraft, and players will experience new end-game content, new maps, new activities, and new equipment in this season. This season may also introduce some new mechanics.
The end of Season 6 coincides with the three-month seasonal cycle of Diablo 4 and the end of the current battle pass. Season 7 is expected to start on January 21, 2025, the same day that Season 6 ends.
However, players are dissatisfied with such a long waiting period, because the exact duration of Season 6 is from October 8, 2024 to January 21, 2025, which lasts about 3.5 months. On the other hand, players are worried that the new content of a season will not meet the players’ play needs within three months.
Players need to create a new character in Season of Witchcraft. Existing characters can be viewed in Eternal Realm.
All items in Season 6, including Diablo 4 Gold, gear, potions, materials, etc., will be transferred to Eternal Realm storage room. You can view these items in Withdraw Only Stash. However, please note that all items in Withdraw Only Stash will be emptied at the end of Season 7 and cannot be restored. Don’t forget your items in it.
Powers of Witchcraft is a new mechanic in Diablo IV, and it is the first time that players can directly borrow powers.
There are 24 Powers in Powers of Witchcraft, divided into 4 Lost Powers, 6 Psyche Powers, 7 Eldritch Powers, and 7 Growth & Decay Powers. Players can learn these powers in Altars of the Covens.
Headhunts are regional activities, similar to Helltides, which rotate between sanctuaries regularly. This activity, with its numerous Whispers, enables players to quickly obtain Grim Favors and reap the rewards from Tree of Whispers.
Players can hand in Grim Favors in Tree of Whispers to obtain materials for making Mystic Gems.
There will be 19 Occult Gems in Season 7, each of which can directly improve a certain attribute of the player, or enhance a certain skill, or even work with Powers of Witchcraft to reduce the cooldown of Witchcraft skills.
Each of these gems can be upgraded to increase their power.
Players can instantly switch between up to 5 sets of gear in The Armory. They can also switch between the active and passive skills, paragon boards, Glyphs, and nodes required for each set of gear.
Coven is a new reputation added to Diablo IV Season 7. Players can progress through Headhunts and collect Grim Favors, which will earn them rewards such as Powers of Witchcraft, Occult Gems, new gear, gold, and collectibles.
Different reputation levels will unlock new quests in Season 7, including 9 side quests. As your reputation increases, you will advance the story in Coven.
The easiest way to increase Coven Reputation is to turn in Grim Favors in the Tree of Whispers. This maximizes Coven Reputation and unlocks many rewards. Players can participate in Headhunts to maximize their efficiency. Typically, there are 4 Headhunts on each map, and each Headhunt lasts 60 minutes. You can view them on the map.
The rewards of Coven are divided into 20 Tiers. Players will unlock new witchcraft abilities at Tiers 3, 5, and 7. At the remaining Tiers, they will receive a cache of crafting materials, summoning materials, or gear.
Because the content of Season 7 has not yet been fully announced, there are some exciting rumors in the player community:
Diablo IV players are looking forward to Season 7. Now that Season 7 is less than 20 days away, many players hope that there will be a Public Test Realm before the official release, so that players can test new content and give feedback to developers. Even Elon Musk agrees with this.
The above are some of the content that will be updated in the seventh season of Diablo 4. Some players complain that the seventh season has made them wait too long, but in fact, this time may be just right. Because the sixth season of Diablo 4 did not receive a very good response in the comments of players, and compared to Diablo 4, which was released in 2023, Path of Exile 2 is now in full swing, and many players are still playing Path of Exile 2. When the seventh season is released at the end of January, most players should have completed the main campaign of POE 2, and at this time they can turn their attention back to the content of the seventh season of Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 has become a very mature ARPG after the first six seasons. In Season 7 PTR some time ago, the developer provided players with a new power called Witchcraft power, which can be used in your character’s builds, and said that it will become an important part of the new season.
The emergence of Witchcraft power will not only make Diablo 4 full of witchcraft but also have a certain impact on the builds of each Class. So in this guide, we will introduce you to 2 Witchcraft powers that have been announced and their functions, so that you can sort out your own builds ideas before the new season and adjust them accordingly.
I need to let you know in advance that in order to learn Witchcraft Power; you need to first complete Whisper bounties and defeat very bulky Headrotten enemies in Season 7 to obtain Restless Rot. Then, at certain Tiers, you will unlock the ability to learn more of this new power.
In Season 7 PTR, there are currently 24 different Witchcraft powers, and they are divided into four different schools of magic: Eldritch Powers, Psyche Powers, Growth & Decay Powers, and Lost Powers. In this guide, we will introduce the first two types of power. We will continue to pay attention to the subsequent types of power, so you can look forward to it.
In simple terms, Eldritch Powers is a type of magic that allows you to use destructive energy and shapeshifting abilities. You can use it to target enemies or bosses that are not resistant to magical damage, which will make your battle easier.
Whenever you consume 250 Resources, it will help you release an explosion and cause a large amount of Shadow damage to the target. If you cast multiple explosions in a row, the size and damage of each explosion triggered within 10 seconds after the previous explosion will increase by 130%.
But it should be noted that you can only stack this effect up to three times. When you spend some Diablo 4 Gold to upgrade this ability to Rank 10, the third explosion you cast will pull the target enemy towards you, making you closer to it, and then the damage caused by this explosion is huge.
You will see an ominous orb made of pure Eldritch energy surrounding you, and every enemy that touches it will suffer Fire damage. In addition, this ominous orb can be thrown or launched at distant enemies by your throwing skills, and will return along the same path.
When this skill is upgraded to Rank 5, each kill or damage to the boss will increase the damage capacity of this orb by 5%. Once it reaches 100%, it will explode and deal 5200 damage to surrounding enemies. Most importantly, the ominous orb will regenerate after three seconds and help you with the rest of the battle.
With this ability, a group of Firebats that can cause very deadly damage will fly out from behind you every two seconds and help you deal continuous Fire damage to the enemy. If you have a higher level of this ability, you will also see that the enemy will enter a three-second stun state after being hit by Firebat Servants five times in a row.
Hex of Flames is a skill that is more suitable for builds with higher Lucky Hit Chance. Because in this skill, you will have multiple chances to apply Hex of Flames to enemies or bosses, and each hit will cause the enemy to receive 1,600 additional Fire damage.
After Hex of Flames reaches Rank 7, your Critical Strike will cause Hex of Flames to explode and cause unpredictable damage to surrounding enemies.
In fact, the description of this ability in PTR is very limited. What we know is that it will increase the damage to Headrotten, and at Rank 10, this damage bonus will be extended to all monsters currently in Diablo 4. We can look forward to its specific performance in Season 7.
Shaken Soul allows you to generate Eldritch Effects in combat, which, when applied to an enemy will make them vulnerable for a period of time. After reaching Rank 10, the effect it generates increases by two Psyche and Growth & Decay Effects, but the duration is halved.
With it, no matter what skill you use, as long as it can cause damage to the enemy, you will cast Wave of Woe, which can cause additional Shadow damage and echo between all nearby enemies of the same type.
After you upgrade it to Rank 5, its damage will increase by 15% each time it echoes, and it can be guaranteed to echo at least 5 times. Most importantly, it can also attack the same target multiple times, so you can have a strong damage ability whether you are facing a group of enemies or a single target enemy.
Unlike the previous power, this one uses the defensive power of the mind and spirit to create an illusion that allows you to focus your attack or trick your enemies into going crazy.
You may hate being interrupted by enemies while casting offensive skills, and the same is true for enemies. With the help of this power, you can interrupt the enemy’s attack in combat and force them to charge again or change their attack method. But it should be noted that this effect does not work for bosses.
If you are not satisfied with the movement speed in your build, you can invest some Diablo 4 Gold to upgrade this power to Rank 5, as it will provide you with a 5% movement speed buff and reduce the enemy’s movement speed by 30%.
When you successfully hit an enemy for the first time, the enemy will be affected by Aura of Lament, and its speed and the speed of enemies around it will be reduced by 70%. In addition, you will also gain a Primary Resource per second for each affected enemy.
If the enemy you initially hit dies during combat, the effect will be transferred to another nearby enemy for the same duration. It’s worth noting that this effect can only be triggered once every 30 seconds.
The damage you deal with Witchcraft Effects will cause enemies to be affected by Hex of Shattering - the amount of damage they deal to you over 5 seconds is greatly reduced. At Rank 8, you’ll find that any Hex Effect applied to Headrotten will cause you to deal with Critical Strikes over 5 seconds, regardless of the elemental damage you’re using.
Do you often feel like your health is too low? Life Link will help you solve this problem by automatically linking your health to up to three nearby enemies. Part of the damage you take from an enemy will be returned to the linked enemy as physical damage.
Please note that this effect does not apply to PVP mode. At Rank 15, you will receive a Critical Strike as part of the damage returned to the enemy within ten seconds of using a Defensive, Macabre or Subterfuge Skill.
As a Sorcerer who frequently casts spell damage, having a barrier in combat is an important way to protect your output. With Twilight Warding, you will gain a barrier every few seconds that absorbs 100 damage for five seconds. Even when you upgrade it to Rank 12, this barrier will reflect enemy projectiles sent to you.
Players are often attracted to Necromancer’s ability to summon minions, and in Vengeful Spirit, you can also summon a Vengeful Spirit Servant, and it will take all the damage you would have taken while it is active, regardless of which Class you are using. If Rank 5 Vengeful Spirit Servant runs out of health, it will rush to the enemy group in the last second of its life and can deal 2,000 Shadow damage to up to 8 enemies.
The above is the two types of Witchcraft Power that will appear in Diablo 4 Season 7. I hope that with the help of this guide, you can make adjustments based on your existing builds that are more suitable for exploring the next season. I wish you a happy exploration on Season 7!

With the upcoming release of Diablo 4 Season 7, many classes will be subject to some adjustments, including Spiritborn class, which has always been loved by players. Does this mean that the peak era of Spiritborn is coming to an end?
Spiritborn class in Diablo 4 has some loopholes, and players have used this loophole to cause trillions of damage, which makes the strength of Spiritborn exceed its own strength, and even much stronger than any class in the game.
Although many players have a lot of fun, this loophole obviously undermines the balance of the game. Surprisingly, Diablo 4 officials decided not to fix the problem of Spiritborn in the middle of the season, but let players enjoy the fun of the “broken” class.
But this is obviously not their long-term plan. With the release of Diablo 4 Season 7 PTR, many players are more concerned about whether Spiritborn will be weakened in Season 7.
In this regard, the official has said that they hope the game content will be challenging for players. If a certain profession is too powerful, it will become too easy for players to obtain Diablo 4 Gold, which will make the game lose a little fun. Therefore, they will try to correct the problem that Spiritborn is too strong in the current version.
But they will not significantly weaken Spiritborn class itself, but will fix the bug, which will prevent Spiritborn from causing too much damage as it does now, but at the same time maintain good playability.
Some adjustments to Spiritborn are mentioned in Diablo 4 Season 7 2.1 PTR patch notes. Of course, these adjustments may change after the official arrival of Diablo 4 Season 7.
These adjustments include Spiritborn skills, Legendary Aspects, Spirit halls (Centipede Primary Spirit Hall and Eagle Secondary Spirit Hall), Unique items, Paragon nodes tweaked, Recipe reworks and other aspects.
Among all the above changes, it is worth mentioning the numerical changes of Rod of Kepeleke. Diablo 4 officials believe that Rod of Kepeleke is one of the important reasons for the excessive strength of Spiritborn builds.
After the adjustment, the additional critical hit damage of Rod of Kepeleke will be much lower than before, which will make this item in a healthier state while retaining its original fantasy meaning and core construction mechanism. It will no longer cause exaggerated damage like before.
The revised Spiritborn may be in a more balanced state, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Recently, Diablo 4 Rob2628 posted on Twitter that he used a new Druid build in Season 7 PTR to defeat the current super Spiritborn class. This new Druid build has damage of 9.3 quadrillions, which means that the current strongest position of Spiritborn is threatened.
However, this is only implemented in the current PTR version. If this overpowered Druid build becomes popular, the official may also weaken some of Druid’s abilities before Season 7 officially begins.
Diablo 4 Season 7 will be launched in January 2025, and players can still enjoy the powerful Spiritborn class before then. But from the above news, in Diablo 4 Season 7, Spiritborn is likely to no longer be as strong as it is now. If you are a player who likes Spiritborn, you need to be mentally prepared for this. For the long-term healthy development of the game, these adjustments are inevitable.

During a recent campfire chat show, the development team revealed that there will be a lot of new content added to the game in the coming months, and with the start of Diablo 4 Season 7, the game will introduce explosive frogs.
In addition, Season 7 will also bring a major change, Class Quests will become universal unlocks. This means that once players have completed a class quest once, they can skip this step when creating a new character. This change is expected to make the game experience of Diablo 4 smoother and more interesting.
The vampiric powers introduced in Diablo 4 Season 2 gave players the ability to reduce cooldowns or deal extra damage to frozen enemies, etc. With the start of Season 7, Diablo 4 will add a similar system to witchcraft powers, which are divided into Eldritch, Psyche, Growth and Decay, and Lost Powers.
In Season 7, the game will introduce a brand new witchcraft powers system. These schools of witchcraft include Eldritch, Psyche, Growth and Decay, and lost powers. Each school will give players’ unique skills, allowing you to try different combat strategies. Among them, a striking new skill is a witchcraft power called Poison Frog Servant.
This skill belongs to Growth and Decay school, which can summon a frog to attack the enemy and cause poison damage to it for three seconds. When this frog dies, it explodes and causes instant poison damage to nearby enemies. At level 5, its attack will also pull enemies towards it and taunt them for one second. Although frogmancer is not one class in Diablo 4, players can experience the fun of summoning explosive frogs in Season 7.
The magic of Growth and Decay school in Diablo 4 can not only cause devastating blows to the enemy, but also provide buffs such as healing, health restoration, and resource acquisition to allies. In addition, this school also can create chaos and spread diseases, making the combat process more unpredictable and challenging.
To unlock these powerful new skills and more, players will need to complete new Whisper bounties to learn Witchcraft and accumulate seasonal reputation. As your reputation grows, you’ll get the chance to challenge Headrotten, a new enemy that appears in Season 7.
After successfully defeating it, players can get Restless Rot. This substance is very rare, but also very useful, because it can be exchanged for new witchcraft powers at Coven Altar in the game or used to enhance existing skills.
Besides the above-mentioned features, Diablo 4 has also prepared many other improvements and expansions. For example, unique equipment for all classes has been launched, the probability of Ancestral items and Diablo 4 Gold dropping has been increased, and Paragon experience in Eternal Realm has been increased.
Most importantly, in response to the long-standing needs of the community, Armory has been added, allowing users to customize and save multiple sets of equipment configurations, which greatly facilitates the quick switching operation in different scenarios.
In Diablo 4, each class has unique weapons, skills, and special abilities. In Season 7, these special abilities are unlocked by completing a specific Class Quest, which usually requires players to reach level 15, and in some cases may have other conditions attached.
Since the launch of the game, the unlocking mechanism of Class Quest has always been tied to a single character. However, in a campfire chat broadcast at the end of November, the developers revealed that starting with the upcoming Season 7, future Class Quest unlocks will no longer be limited to a single character, but will be tied to the entire account.
The main purpose of this change is to simplify the player experience, especially for those who want to try different class combinations or restart the game journey. For example, if you have completed the exclusive class quest with a Barbarian and reached level 15, any new Barbarians created afterwards will directly inherit this achievement.
The developers also mentioned in the campfire chat broadcast that starting from next season, repeated Class Quests will begin to offer some new rewards. Although the specific details of this change have not yet been announced, more information may gradually surface as the new season approaches.
Although the specific release date of Diablo 4 Season 7 has not been officially announced, considering that Season 6 started on October 8, if the developer continues to maintain a content update cycle of about three months, then Season 7 is likely to kick off in late January 2025. However, starting from December 3, 2024, players will get in touch with some of the upcoming game changes in advance by participating in Diablo 4 Public Test Realm server.
In summary, Diablo 4 is full of changes and developments worth looking forward to in the coming months. And as the new season approaches, we can expect more specific details about Season 7 to be gradually announced. Players can look forward to welcoming this new season full of surprises and changes.

On November 12, the developers of Diablo 4 series of games broadcasted a live campfire chat on multiple online platforms. In fact, this kind of live chat is a tradition. Game developers often communicate with players in this way and release some news about what kind of updates the game may have in the future.
In this campfire chat, besides informing players that they will optimize and fix various problems in the current Season 6, the game developers also said that Season 7 is in the works. After all, Season of Hatred Rising has been launched for more than a month. With the update frequency of Diablo 4 series, Season 7 is not far away from us.
So how much information about Season 7 was revealed through this campfire chat, and how should we prepare for it? Let us introduce it to you.
Since there is no clear official announcement for Season 7, we mainly provide you with some rough suggestions from several more universal perspectives.
First, it is important to complete Season 6 Battle Pass as soon as possible to help you get all the available rewards before the end of Season 6. In addition, if you are already a player who has completed most of the challenges of Season 6, we recommend that you use the remaining time to try new builds and play styles to prepare for the changes that may come in the new season.
No matter what game you are in, it is never wrong to collect resources for storage. So you can also stock up on Diablo 4 Gold, various crafting materials, and other resources for Diablo 4 Season 7 to give yourself a head start in the new season.
Although the game manufacturer has not clearly announced when Season 7 will be launched, we can make an educated guess based on the known information of the past few seasons. Each season of the Diablo 4 series usually lasts about three months, and Season 6 Season of Hatred Rising started on October 8, 2024, so we estimate that the start time of Season 7 is around January 21, 2025.
Of course, this is our bold prediction, and the specific date should still be subject to official news. However, the prediction can at least remind some players to hurry up and complete the tasks that have not been completed in Season 6.
In addition to the time, there are few details about what specific content updates Season 7 may have. However, we guess that in order to live up to the expectations of players, Season 7 will definitely have some exciting new content and changes.
The first is the new season theme and mechanism. Each season of Diablo 4 will introduce a unique theme and new game mechanism, which may involve new items, powers, challenges, and even updates and adjustments to the entire game background world to further advance the main story.
Secondly, since players have reported many problems and bugs in Season 6 and DLC, and some have not been resolved so far, we predict that the game developers may leave them for Season 7 to solve. Specifically, it may involve strengthening or weakening professions, skills, or items.
In addition, improving the quality of life is also very likely. Because, according to most player feedback, a new season usually brings a quality of life changes, and these changes can well optimize inventory management, UI experience or other game features.
In addition to the above, we believe that Season 7 may also add some new legendary items, unique rewards and appearances. And because the ending of the main story in Season 6 and DLC leaves a lot of suspense, Season 7 may introduce new storylines or quest lines to add narrative depth to the game.
Diablo 4 introduced new storylines and game mechanics in Season 6, Season of Hatred Rising. Season 7 may build on these elements while continuing the story lines established in DLC.
This will make the connection between the two seasons and an expansion closer, which will not only help strengthen the credibility of the story background of the new season, but also make new players who join in Season 7 curious about DLC and enhance the influence of the entire Diablo 4 series.
According to common sense, even if the new season does not introduce new features or mechanisms, it will update the mechanisms in the previous season, which will not only fix the shortcomings of such mechanisms but also bring a certain sense of freshness to players.
If there are new features to be added to Season 7, we predict that they may include new legendary items and set rewards, expanded end-game content, and seasonal activities and quests.
As for new classes, since the game has already added a new class Spiritborn in Vessel of Hatred, we speculate that other classes may not be launched so soon. However, this is not absolute. Perhaps Diablo 4 really prepares such a gift for players in Season 7.
After this introduction, are you already looking forward to Season 7? But don’t worry, after all, Season 6 is not over yet. What we should do most now is to get all the rewards provided by the current season as much as possible, and be fully prepared for Season 7, so that we can be the first to show our skills when the time comes.
