To celebrate Christmas in 2024, Diablo 4 returns to the fan-favorite winter event, Midwinter Blight, on November 19. This event will last for two weeks until December 3, 2024. During the event, players can experience new challenges, special content, and get some exclusive buffs and seasonal rewards.

What’s in Midwinter Blight?

In Midwinter Blight, you need to knock down Frigid Husks surrounded by Blightfiends to get more Aberrant Cinders. It should be noted that you may encounter Red-Cloaked Horror in Helltide, which will ambush you! In addition, Blightfiend Chillweavers also occupy Blood Maiden event in Helltide, and defeating them can get a lot of Aberrant Cinders!

There are a few notable items in Midwinter Blight, including:

Mother’s Gift Buff

Mother’s Gift Buff can give you 50% more Diablo 4 Gold and 35% more XP.

Gileon’s Brew

Gileon’s Brew is a powerful elixir that gives you a 20% damage buff and 15% more XP, and can provide you with additional Crafting Materials. Killing a Red-Cloaked Horror will give you a drop of Gileon’s Brew.

Frigid Husks

You may find Frigid Husks while exploring Helltide. Frigid Husks are crafted from freshly killed humans, including freshly severed limbs, heads, and other body parts. Blightfiends build Frigid Husks to honor their leaders.

Frigid Husks have the potential to spawn the following items:

• Treasure Goblin
• Elite monster
• Minor loot
• Aberrant Cinders
• Red-Cloaked Horror

When you enter Helltide, watch out for it. This powerful mini-boss can spawn in Helltide instead of Hellborne, and may ambush you instead of a Butcher in Dungeons.

What Rewards Can I Get For Participating?

Title Rewards

After defeating Red-Cloaked Horror for the first time, you will unlock Reveler title and Frigid title.

Click On Midwinter Ward To Get A Onetime Gift

You can find Kyovashad Midwinter Ward in the special event area of Midwinter Square, located to the left of Kyovashad waypoint, and click Midwinter Ward to claim your onetime gift.

These gifts include Diablo 4 Gold, 3 Gileon’s Brew Elixirs, 4 Midwinter Purses, and a host of other items.

Midwinter Purses also contain a host of valuable items, such as Crafting Materials, Runes, Nightmare Dungeon Keys, and Infernal Horde Keys.

How Is Different From Last Year’s Midwinter Blight Event?

Last year’s event offered event-specific back trophies and Cosmetics rewards, such as skulls and bells, that players could use to dress up their characters in Wardrobe. Unfortunately, this year you can no longer get them from NPC, and they won’t drop as random loot.

There is no NPC to talk to in this year’s Midwinter Blight, and rewards cannot be redeemed through token collection or reputation. This year’s main reward is a onetime event gift that drops in Midwinter Ward.
