Of all the quests that can be completed in Vessel of Hatred DLC, Deeds Of A Champion is one of the more difficult ones. Not only because you need to fight various enemies in it, but in fact this quest consists of 6 small quests, and even if they are not difficult, it will be troublesome to complete all of them.

Deeds Of A Champion Overview
After completing the last quest in Vessel of Hatred main campaign, players can start to carry out Deeds Of A Champion. First, find Kalien outside Lorath’s house. After talking to him, he will ask you to report to Ormus in Kurast Bazaar. Get instructions for the next step.
After that, talk to Ormus again, and he will give you a list of the 6 small quests that need to be completed in order to complete Deeds Of A Champion. You just need to complete them one by one. The main contents of the list are:
- Unlock three mercenaries
- Complete Tenets of Depravity and 3 dungeons in Nahantu, and conquer Kichuk Stronghold
- Complete Kurast Undercity quest; complete Undercity: Wail of the Forgotten quest; kill Terror of Five Hills
- Collect 10 Grim Favors for Tree of Whispers in Nahantu to claim your reward
- Open 5 Tortured Gifts and kill a Blood Maiden during Helltide
- Clear tier 20 of Pit of the Artificer
Completing each step not only completes Deeds Of A Champion but also gives you a ton of XP, which can help you level up your Paragon. And when you complete the last step, you’ll get a set of legendary armor with a Baneful Intent look, which can be unlocked and viewed in the wardrobe. Here’s how to complete each of the six quests.
Quest 1 Mercenary Quests
When you first reach the lair in Vessel of Hatred campaign, you can unlock the corresponding mercenary by completing three quests. If you complete these quests now, you’ll find that you have a head start when you play Deeds Of A Champion later. The three quests are: A Nameless Mystery, Slayer’s Retribution and A Feather on the Scale.
Quest 2 (Three Parts)
1. Conquer Kichuk Stronghold
This step is mainly to deal with the increasing Lacuni populations in the area. First, you need to destroy the cages holding the villagers, and then talk to the survivors. Then, to protect them from Lacuni, you should enter the nearby cave and destroy all the pillars to destroy the cave.
After that, go due east and find the villagers surrounded by Lacuni. Then kill Kirma, Blood Bargainer, when it appears. This boss has two phases in the battle, but it will not pose much threat. After defeating it, relight Wanderer’s statue, and this step is completed.
2. Complete Tenets Of Depravity Quest
Tenets of Depravity quest consists of four parts. You can start this quest line by going to Kurast Docks or Kurast Bazaar and talking to the guards there. Then complete each part one by one.
3. Complete 3 Dungeons In Nahantu
It is important to note that even if you have completed three dungeons in Nahantu before starting Deeds Of A Champion; you need to complete three more dungeons here. Fortunately, in Dungeons in Nahantu, players only need to persist to the end and kill the boss to complete the quest, without collecting any specific materials.
Quest 3 Kurast Undercity
First, you need to complete two quests: Kurast Undercity and Undercity: Wail of the Forgotten, which both can be opened in Kurast Bazaar. After completing them, you will find the boss Terror of Five Hills in Undercity. Kill it and leave Undercity to continue to the next step.
Quest 4 Tree Of Whispers
This quest is relatively simple, was introduced from the base Diablo 4 campaign. All you need to do is collect 10 Grim Favers to complete the objectives given to you by Tree Of Whispers, then claim your reward from the tree. After that, you can proceed to the next step.
Quest 5 Helltide Event
During Helltide event, various small activities will take place, which will take place every hour in a random area. You can obtain Aberrant Cinders by killing monsters in Helltide area, which can be used to open Tortured Gifts. When you open 5 Tortured Gifts and kill a Blood Maiden during Helltide event, this step is completed.
Quest 6 Pit Of The Artificer
This endgame activity is located in Cerrigar and its specific difficulty is determined by the corresponding level. To complete quest 6, you need to clear tier 20 of Pit, which is about the same difficulty as Torment 1. If you have trouble with Torment 1, you’d better work on improving your equipment and Paragon level beforehand to complete this quest.
