When you explore the dungeons in Dark and Darker, you’ll face a lot of powerful monsters, some of which can drop a rare item called Skull Key, which can be used to open some treasure chests with rich rewards.
But getting this rare Dark and Darker Item is not an easy task, but don’t worry, this guide will show you how to get it with less effort, and how to open some secret treasure chests.
As mentioned above, Skull Key appears as looted after you fight some bosses. The bosses that currently drop Skull Key are Ghost King and Skeleton Warlord, but it should be noted that their drop rate is very small - one has a 2% chance, and the other only has a 0.5% chance.
So you can attack these two bosses multiple times, or you can defeat an elite-level boss before challenging them, so that their drop rate will increase to 5%. This high-level enemy is harder to defeat than regular monsters, but it’s the best way to increase the chance of Skull Key dropping.
Because of this, when you line up the bosses you need to challenge, you need to put Ghost King in the center of Dark and Darker’s Inferno Map last, because this will avoid repeated exploration.
You need to be very careful during your battle with Ghost King, because it will vanish and then suddenly reappear and send some flying death monsters to you, which will greatly reduce your health. You can only dodge this attack mode and look for opportunities to use weapons to attack.
When you successfully defeat Ghost King and some of its little monsters, you will get Skull Key and some Dark and Darker Gold as rewards. It should be reminded here that these rewards will not appear on the first defeat, and you need to try a few more times.
After you get Skull Key in the arena where you fight Ghost King, you can go on a journey to find the secret treasure chest. Go south from where you are standing, defeating enemies along the way, and cross a lava-filled floor, and eventually you will see a huge wall-like door.
There is a lever on the left side of this door, which you can pull to extend a bridge from here to the skull room. After crossing this bridge, you can use your hard-earned Skull Key to open this mysterious door.
In this skull room, you will find many treasure chests, legendary weapons, and many other valuable Dark and Darker Items. But be aware that while you are picking up items, Skeleton Archers and Dragonflies will attack you, and you can only take all the rewards after defeating them.
