Call of Duty is gradually becoming more like Fortnite. Over the past few years, both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 have introduced WWE Athletes, Boys TV characters, horror icons, and even Nicki Minaj. This year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 also adds shark and raccoon skins and annoying killing animations.
However, the addition of a new finishing move caused widespread uneasiness and caused unprecedented trouble for players. In addition, players have expressed dissatisfaction with Black Ops 6’s Prestige system and called on developers to stop resetting player emotes and operator skins every time Prestige resets.
A new finishing move was introduced in COD BO6, which triggered widespread discussion among the player community. In this new move, players can transform into a unicorn and destroy opponents by lifting its bright pink tail and releasing a powerful blast of gas. While this idea was unique and entertaining, all players did not embrace it.
Many players believe that although BO6 has always been known for its exaggerated and humorous elements, this overly ridiculous design seems to deviate from the original intention of the game. Some players express their desire to look more like a real soldier when doing character exercises in COD BO6 Bot Lobbies, rather than a character wearing a shark head or unicorn costume.
Some players have expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the finishing move of CoD: Black Ops 6, believing that it is 100% shameless capitalist behavior and has no artistic integrity at all. These idiots spend vast sums of money on such nonsense. This is just disgusting, embarrassing, and pathetic. Many people share this view.
Although a few supporters believe that Unicorn Fart’s move is reasonable, pointing out that Call of Duty has always had some quirky elements, many users who believe has countered it that it was not so fast in previous works. It usually takes a few seasons to transition from more grounded pieces to more over-the-top pieces.
In general, Call of Duty community, like most people in the gaming world, likes to complain about various problems in the game, but in this incident, they have rarely shown a high degree of unity on one issue. This rare unanimity reflects players’ concerns about the direction of the game, as well as dissatisfaction with the development team’s decisions.
In Black Ops 6, the classic Prestige system returns again, which allows players to gradually increase their ranking and reset when reaching level 55 to advance to the next Prestige. However, some players have questioned some resets as being entirely unnecessary.
After years of changes and strong fan feedback, Black Ops 6 finally returns the classic Call of Duty Prestige feature. Since the restart of the Modern Warfare series in 2019, the game has modified the original Prestige system and introduced a seasonal leveling system. Players have not welcomed this change.
In BO6, Treyarch development team finally responded to the feedback from fans and decided to return to the classic system. Now, players who reach level 55 in the game will choose to reset their Prestige to start a fresh round of challenges. This reset not only retains the game experience familiar to old players but also comes with rich rewards, such as operator skins, weapon blueprints and various other cosmetic items.
But whether to choose to perform a Prestige reset is a tricky decision for players, because every time a Prestige reset occurs, operator skins and emotes are also completely reset. While these skins and emotes aren’t locked like weapons, players are forced to repurpose Black Ops 6 Redeem Codes every time you reach a new Prestige for the operator skins and emotes you want.
The community is now calling on Treyarch to change this annoying feature. Players widely believe that resetting emotes and operators when Prestige resets increase the complexity of the game and affect the player’s gaming experience.
Whether it was a design consideration or an oversight by Treyarch that caused players’ operator skins and emotes to be reset on Prestige reset in Black Ops 6. This mechanism makes players dissatisfied. Some players believe that while the reset of weapons and equipment can be annoying, there is at least some logic to it. However, the reset of the player’s operators and emotes seems to make no sense.
If this is a bug, or Treyarch notes community feedback, this may be adjusted in a future update. However, in the current version, players still have to face the situation where the operator’s skin and emotes are reset every time their reputation is reset.
Although Call of Duty series has always been known for its innovation and entertainment, some recent changes have caused dissatisfaction among the player community. Players are increasingly worried about the direction of the game.
We all hope that developers will listen to the community and tweak features that are deemed too ridiculous or cumbersome to restore balance and fun to the game. Only in this way can CoD: Black Ops 6 continue to attract and retain a loyal player base and maintain its leading position in the shooting game field.
