Avowed’s Story And Combat

As the spiritual sequel to Pillars of Eternity series, Avowed sets the story in the unexplored Living Lands in the world of Eora. Players play as envoys of Aedyr Empire, investigating a world-threatening plague and uncovering their ancient connection with this land.

The game abandons the isometric squad perspective of the previous game and adopts a first-person immersive combat system, allowing players to combine magic freely, melee weapons and firearms. For example, you can freeze the enemy with ice spells first, then smash them with a sword, or use shield blocking and long-range bows to form tactical combos. In addition, the skill tree upgrade and weapon customization system further deepen the character growth.
