Path Of Exile 2 XP Farming: Where Are The Most Efficient? - 8 Best Locations
As a complex and difficult ARPG, POE 2 will require a lot from you, so if you want to make it through the endgame, you need to farm XP as quickly as possible to make your character strong enough in time.
To do this, you need to know not only how to gain some experience points while resting during the game, but also the best places and ways to clear the map at relevant levels - you can even use this method to collect more POE 2 Currency and special loot!
The best maps for you to collect XP or other items at the moment are mainly those with easy-to-navigate layouts, high monster density, and even better if there is a unique small boss that is easy to approach. Based on this, we will recommend 8 best XP farming locations for you.
1. Act 1 Maps-Hunting Grounds & Ogham Village
Although Act 1 may be the easiest part of the entire POE 2, because of the high difficulty of the game itself, if you are not level enough and your gear is not powerful enough, you may still encounter a lot of obstacles when encountering Boss Geonor and transitioning from Act 1 to Act 2. If you do encounter such a dilemma, it is recommended to go to Ogham Village immediately to farm XP for the end of Act 1.
Although it looks messy here, the map navigation is relatively clear, and Executioner battle here can provide XP and possible POE 2 Divine Orbs drops. If you have the energy to spare, you can try to kill Crowbell in Hunting Grounds at least once to get two additional passive skill points to further enhance your character.
2. Act 2 Maps-Keth & Lost City
After entering Act 2, the map clearing difficulty gradually increases, and you will encounter some more difficult mob enemies in several maps. To do this, you need to get more XP and some reliable defensive skills before you can move on.
Based on this, you first consider choosing Keth as your first Act 2 farming map, because the optional boss Kabala the Constrictor Queen is relatively easy to defeat. In addition, Keth also comes with an optional map Lost City, which contains Keth’s ninth treasure optional boss, which can provide you with a lot of XP.
3. Act 3 Maps-Jungle Ruins & Utzaal
Entering Act 3 means that you are not far from the endgame, so the overall challenge difficulty will rise to a level. Based on this, Jungle Ruins is a good place to prepare before the start of this act. The optional boss Mighty Silverfist, as well as several other small bosses and elite enemies can provide you with a lot of XP.
As for Utzaal, it is actually the last large map you need to clear before encountering the final boss. If you can complete the battle with Viper Napuatzi in it fairly easily, this map is a good place for you to gain XP because of the large open area and high monster density.
4. Trial Of Chaos
Not only are trials a great place to earn passive points for your Ascendancy subclasses, they also allow you to rerun them to earn XP and other loot. If you’re primarily looking to farm XP, Trial of Chaos is a better choice than Trial of the Sekhemas, since the latter prioritizes avoiding damage, which somewhat hinders combat and is not conducive to earning XP. Also, the good news is that starting from Act 3, you can rerun Trial of Chaos at any time.
5. Endgame Maps
By the time you reach the endgame of Path of Exile 2, you may still need to grind quite a bit to continue to perfect your character, and in fact this is one of the purposes of POE 2’s progression curve setting - to allow you to focus on improving your character after completing builds and before entering higher-level maps. Based on this, the early endgame maps provide you with this opportunity.

While doing basic farming, you can also use currency to upgrade Waystones with magic and rare modifiers, allowing these endgame maps to spawn more monsters or loot. The best modifiers are prefixes, such as increasing monster density or increasing elite enemies by 20%, giving you the opportunity to earn more XP per map.
6. Farming Expeditions
Once you enter the endgame, you will encounter a variety of different endgame events that will give you different loot. Of these events, it is recommended that you complete Expeditions on the map first, and to do this you must first find the NPC Dannig, as only he can give you access to Expeditions.
Expeditions will give you some big dig points where you can place 20 explosives to link Remnants and Runic monsters together, killing large groups of enemies at once and getting more XP and loot.
7. Farming Breaches
As one of the popular endgame farming events, the swarms of monsters spawned in Breaches can also bring you a lot of XP, as well as a lot of currency and loot. And just like farming endgame maps, you can also increase the monster density in Breaches through Waystone modifier to increase the XP you can get.
8. Farming Simulacrums
Similar to Breaches and Expeditions, Simulacrums are another endgame activity that allows you to work for XP, with waves of enemies spawning and you can earn a lot of XP by clearing them.
However, it should be noted that Simulacrums farming tends to focus more on generating Simulacrum Splinters and other loot for you rather than XP, so it may be more suitable for you to use to help you improve your builds.
These are the 8 best locations for XP farming in Path of Exile 2 at the moment. If you are leveling up and urgently need a lot of XP, then make sure to go to these locations first. Have fun!
Path Of Exile 2 Realmgate: How Does It Work?
When we come to the endgame of PoE 2, we usually need Waystones to help us arrange the monsters and items that appear on each map. But there is another core mechanism in Path of Exile 2, Realmgate, which plays a different role than Waystones. Realmgate is one of the four key nodes that players get to the endgame.
As one of the core functions of the endgame of Path of Exile 2. Unlike regular map nodes, Realmgate does not use Waystones to traverse, but requires other items that can be found in the game. These items are also very rare, and you can go to Currency Exchange to exchange with other players.
How To Find Realmgate In PoE 2
The location of Realmgate is not difficult to find. When you open the map, you will find Realmgate next to the location where the drawing phase begins. The fastest way to return here is to click Home Icon on the drawing screen. Then your screen will refocus on the location where the drawing phase begins. Realmgate is next to the stone Ziggurat.
The Home Icon will overlap with Red Skull Icon, though this doesn’t always happen. Red Skull Icon indicates the location of Burning Monolith. Burning Monolith’s Home Icon is usually located close to each other, so you only need to click on one to find the other.
Unlike regular map nodes in the endgame, Waystones cannot be used in Realmgate. Instead, the purpose of Realmgate is to guide the player to the end-game Pinnacle Boss fight. There are currently four Pinnacle Boss fights in the game that require Realmgate. Here’s how to access them using Realmgate.
Xesht, We That Are One (Breach Pinnacle Boss)
You need to stack 300 Breach Splinters in your inventory, then you can create a Breachstone. Breachstone is the key to open Realmgate and fight Xesht, We That Are One.
You need to framing ordinary monsters on the map to get Breach Splinters. The drop rate of Breach Splinters is not high, and you usually need to clear several maps. But the good news is that Breach activities are a good way to farm POE 2 Currency. You just need to click Local Knowledge in Breach skill tree to increase the currency drop rate of monsters in grass areas. If you need POE 2 Exalted Orb or various types of Jeweler’s Orb, you can try this activity.
Olroth, Origin Of The Fall (Expeditions Pinnacle Boss)
You need to find a level 79 or higher Logbook (found in Expeditions), then talk to Dannig in Hideout. Only then can you open Realmgate to Olroth, Origin of the Fall.
Dannig will appear randomly in Expeditions maps, just after you talk to him, like the other three Expeditions NPCs (Rog, Gwennen, and Tujen), and then he will live in your Hideout.
Expeditions is a particularly interesting event. You can create explosions in this event. After defeating the enemies that appear after the explosion, you can open various treasure chests. Logbook will appear in the treasure chest.
In addition, Olroth, Origin of the Fall, is also a relatively easy boss. It has very little health and has no resistance to fire and lightning, but it is very resistant to cold and has a high armor value. Players can try to challenge it.
The Simulacrum (Delirium Pinnacle Event)
You need to stack 300 Simulacrum Splinters in your backpack to get The Simulacrum. The Simulacrum can be used to open Realmgate. You can trade The Simulacrum with other players for several POE 2 Divine Orbs.
When you enter the event, you will face 15 waves of Delirium enemies. As you fight further, you will encounter one of Kosis, Revelation and Omniphobia, Fear Manifest. If you don’t kill them quickly, you will end up facing both of them at the same time. It is recommended that you deal with Kosis, the Revelation first, as its freezing will make it difficult for you to move.
King In The Mists (Ritual Pinnacle Boss)
You need to offer Tribute in Ritual Favour to get the reward. An Audience With the King does not appear in the rewards very often. If it does appear, you may not have enough Tribute to redeem it, so when An Audience With the King appears in Ritual rewards, you can hold off until you can redeem it. Once you have An Audience With the King, you can head to Realmgate to start this boss fight.
The King in the Mists is the weakest of all Ritual Pinnacle Bosses, with low resistance, low HP, and moves very similar to a boss in Act I. I believe you can easily defeat it.
The Arbiter or Ash is the real Ultimate Pinnacle Boss of Big Brother Um. They are extremely powerful and can only be found in Burning Monolith, not through the Realmgate. To enter this battle, you need to obtain three Castle Keys through the quest unlocked when you first encounter Burning Monolith.
Path Of Exile 2 Exalted Orbs: How To Farm It? - 6 Best Ways
Currency should be one of your main tools to progress in POE 2, as there are many currencies in the game, and each one has its own unique role. These roles are not only irreplaceable by other POE 2 Currencies, but also play a key role in your character upgrades.
Among all currencies, Exalted Orbs are mid-range in terms of value and not so eye-catching, but they are considered very important by many players because of their outstanding practicality. For example, it can add additional modifiers to rare items to make them stronger. And like any other modifier type currency, Exalted Orbs can also be used to modify non-equipment items such as Waystones and Flask.
When you enter Path of Exile 2 endgame stage, you will need a lot of Exalted Orbs in order to enhance the properties of the map to improve farming efficiency. Although there are many ways to obtain this orb because of the role brought by some quality of life features, it is recommended that you prioritize the following 6 methods if you want to farm quickly in a short period.
1. Go To The Trade Market
Although this method only works if you have a character in the trading league, it allows you to list your hidden items directly in the trade market. As long as someone comes to trade, the items will be automatically sold. It can be said that you can earn POE 2 Exalted Orbs without consuming almost any time and energy, which is very convenient.
As for the choice of selling items, it is recommended that you give priority to those good items that can help you create a build - provided that you have completed your builds. Because other players who use the same build as you may be lacking these items, so when you list it in the trade market, it is very likely to be sold.
2. Exchange With Other Currencies
As you know, there are many types of currencies or orbs in Path of Exile 2, so sometimes you may get a lot of currencies that you don’t need. To help you sort out your currency inventory, the game allows you to exchange currencies with NPCs at currency exchanges.
Since the currency value of Exalted Orb is at a medium level, it usually takes dozens or even hundreds of ordinary orbs to exchange for one Exalted Orb. But correspondingly, if you want to get Divine Orbs with higher value, you need to give multiple Exalted Orbs.
Generally speaking, extremely rare currencies with very special uses can be obtained when running end-game maps and activities. If you are lucky enough to get dropped Omens or Greater Essences, you can even use them to exchange for hundreds of Exalted Orbs. However, since these rare late-game currencies have their own uses, you need to think carefully before exchanging.
3. Simulacrum Farming
As one of the main endgame events, farming in Simulacrum can bring you a lot of Exalted Orbs. Of course, before that, you’d better use Waystone, Precursor Tablets and Atlas passive skill points to increase the drop rate of orbs, which will save more time.
Although the value of each endgame event will change with the balance adjustment of the endgame activities during the early access update, the drop rate of Exalted Orbs in Simulacrum is still greater than other endgame events now.
4. Breaches Farming
While not as good as Simulacrum, Breaches farming is still very rewarding if you run it on the right map, such as Hideout or any small, easily navigable area. If you can fight the boss Xesht during the event, you should be able to get quite a few orbs.
See More: How To Get Astramentis Stellar Amulet In Path Of Exile 2?
Of course, we still recommend that you ensure that each Breach provides a steady supply of Splinters before farming Breaches by juicing the map, using Precursor Tablets, or Atlas passive points, so that you can freely exchange Splinters for Exalted Orbs. In fact, running Breaches is also a good way to get other currency and item drops.
5. Rituals Farming
Almost every end-game event can provide you with many drops, but Rituals have a specific way to get a large number of Exalted Orbs if you need them: you will encounter some items after encountering Ritual Altar, which may contain Omens, which can be exchanged for Exalted Orbs.
As a precious endgame resource, Omens can more easily re-roll or remove specific affixes from your equipment for you, which makes a single Omen worth several Exalted Orbs, and the more powerful Greater Omens can be exchanged for up to 10 Divine Orbs, or even hundreds of Exalted Orbs!
However, this method is not flawless, because your chance of encountering Omens in Ritual Altar is quite small, although this can be increased by unlocking related passive points, but the effect is not obvious.
6. Expeditions Farming
As the endgame event with the lowest farming efficiency of orbs, although Expeditions is not popular and the way it works depends on RNG placed explosives. But you have to admit that it still has the function of generating currency.
If you have to farm orbs through Expeditions, it is recommended that you add a little map optimization to it so that Expeditions can drop multiple logbooks on each map. Among them, logbooks above level 79 give you a chance to spawn the boss Olroth, and some of his drops are precious. But if you want Exalted Orbs more, you can trade them by logbooks, each worth multiple Exalted Orbs.
These 6 methods should be enough to help you earn Exalted Orbs, or you should also find more ways to farm them in Path of Exile 2 through your own exploration. Thanks for reading.
Path Of Exile 2 Witch Endgame Minion Army Infernalist: What To Note When Playing This Build?
When you enter the endgame stage in POE 2, you not only need to adjust your game play strategy but also need to replace or upgrade your builds in time, otherwise you may not be able to adapt to the high difficulty of the endgame smoothly. Compared with the early stages, the endgame combat system has fewer enemies but is more difficult, so no matter what class you play, you must make adjustments to adapt to this situation.
If you play the class of Witch, it is recommended that you use Minion Army Infernalist as your endgame build after entering the endgame. As one of the best single-player classes in Path of Exile 2, Witch can fight more easily in the endgame with minions because of Minion Army Infernalist Build - but the premise is that you need exchange for gear that can guarantee health points by POE 2 Currency, after all, Witch’s own survivability is not very good.
Based on this, we will introduce you to the knowledge you need to master to create a Minion Army Infernalist Build from different angles.
Best Gear
If you played a witch in POE 1, you should know that getting good gear and ideal attributes for this class should always be a top priority, especially armor that can provide maximum energy shield. Shields can help you survive in combat and keep your health as unaffected as possible by enemy attacks. So if you can, you can get some hybrid pieces that can provide both armor and shields when using Minion Army Infernalist Build.
In addition, it is recommended that you equip this build with good scepters and amulets - if you find it too difficult to get the relevant item drops in combat, you can also exchange them through POE 2 Chaos Orbs. Among them, the scepter allows you to summon minions, not only with a high spirit boost but also enhances your minions’ damage, attack speed or movement speed. And the right Solar amulet can further increase your maximum spirit and provide bonuses to your minions’ skills.
As for gear that can enhance secondary attributes, gear that provides armor or increases maximum health, energy shield, and elemental resistance is a good choice, as these characteristics will help you survive the endgame while turning into a pseudo-tank.
Finally, don’t forget to provide your boots with bonus movement speed and intelligence, no matter what method you use. Because intelligence can increase the mana pool of Minion Army Infernalist Build, and the increase in movement speed can keep enemies away from you.
Best Skill Gems
For Minion Army Infernalist Build, the first two skill gems to consider are Reavers and Arsonists. The high damage brought by Reavers and the support of archers can attract the attention of bosses and knock them down, while Arsonists are more conservative in combat performance.
If you want to get more outstanding game performance with this build, the more skill gems you should choose are Skeleton Clerics, Pain Offering, and Detonate Dead. First of all, Skeleton Clerics can heal or revive other minions, and Pain Offering can greatly enhance other minions by turning a minion into a totem. Detonate Dead allows you to use the large number of corpses created by your minions to clear out enemies.
Another Witch build worth mentioning is Pyromancer Infernalist, which uses the same core Witch minion skills, using fire spells to supplement the remaining skill slots to cause maximum damage to the enemy. If you want to try it, you can equip it with spirit gem Raging Spirits, Flame Wall, and Flammability.
Best Spirit Gems
The first spirit gem suitable for Minion Army Infernalist Build, Grim Feast, is actually suitable for most POE 2 builds. This gem will cause enemies and minions to drop essences occasionally after being killed by you, and you can collect these essences to replenish your Witch energy shield, which can effectively save you the currency you need to heal yourself or your teammates.
Another good spirit gem is Raging Spirits. When you use fire spells, this gem will help you summon small fire minions. Although they have a short life, they can cause great damage to the enemy. It is worth mentioning that Raging Spirits works perfectly with Flame Wall and Flammability to allow enemies who are debuffed to be further cornered by terrible fire damage.
Best Passive Skills
In order to make Minion Army Infernalist Build fully effective in the endgame, in addition to the three basic attributes, you should unlock as many passive skill points as possible that enhance the minions of Witch class in the passive skill tree. Although the node clusters that can enhance the damage, maximum health and elemental resistance of the minions may not make the minions strong enough for boss battles, they are more than enough to deal with regular enemies. In fact, without minions, your Witch will hardly be able to move in the endgame.

As for the remaining skill points, it is recommended that you choose all those that can maximize the defense of Witch, such as enhancing energy shields and elemental resistance, which can be well matched with your armor. If necessary, you can also choose to unlock offensive passive skills, but this may weaken the role of minions. Since minions are the main damage dealers of Minion Army Infernalist Build, you need to choose offensive passive skills carefully.
After the introduction above, I believe you should have known how to create and use Minion Army Infernalist Build. I hope it can help you get a good combat experience in the endgame of Path of Exile 2!
POE 2 Boss Locations And Rewards: How Many Bosses Are There In Act 1-3?
Path of Exile 2 is a very difficult Diablo-like game. As an imitator, it is even better than Diablo in some aspects, and that is its boss design.
The only boss in Diablo 4 that can really bring a sense of crisis to players is Echo of Lilith, while many bosses in Path of Exile 2 can bring real challenges to players. In addition to those particularly powerful bosses in endgame, there are also many bosses in Act 1-3 currently open in Path of Exile 2 that can bring players exciting boss battles.
Many bosses in Path of Exile 2 are not main bosses, and they do not have to be challenged. Therefore, players who are immersed in the main quest may miss these bosses. This is Path of Exile 2 All bosses in the first three acts, their positions and rewards. In addition to fixed drops, each boss will randomly drop various POE 2 currency. When you first clear these bosses, some currencies will definitely appear in the drops. This is to facilitate you to build better equipment and avoid your game progress being stuck in the early stages due to random drops. At the same time, the rewards dropped by some bosses will directly provide you with passive points or improve your attributes. If you encounter a difficult boss in the main quest, you can try to solve other bosses first to improve yourself.
Path Of Exile 2 Boss Rank: Which 6 Bosses Are The Most Difficult At First Time Battle?
Although the core gameplay of Path of Exile 2 is very similar to that of Diablo 4, the difficulty of the two games is very different. Path of Exile 2 is much more difficult than Diablo 4, which is particularly evident in the boss battle.
Almost every boss in Path of Exile 2 can be called a challenge. If you play the game normally and don’t level up madly to crush the boss, then the difficulty of some bosses will make you feel you are playing Soul series.
The following content is a list of the 6 most tough bosses according to the normal progress of the player’s game. Because some bosses are only the most difficult when you first see them.
Rank 6: Geonor, The Putrid Wolf
As the final boss encountered by the player in Act 1, Count Geonor can be called a real challenge. If the player rashly challenges him when the equipment level is not high, you will fall into an extremely long boss battle. In the first stage, Geonor is in human form. He will use a big sword to attack the player. When his health is reduced to a certain level, he will enter the second stage.
Count Geonor in wolf form is much more difficult to deal with than in human form. And it is very good at freezing attributes. Players will continue to receive freezing and slowing effects on the battlefield. If the player is not prepared to resist freezing, the whole boss’ battle will be very torturous.
To deal with Geonor, you not only need equipment that resists freezing but also need to listen to its voice. It has many dangerous moves that will have voice prompts before they are released.
Rank 5: Jamanra, The Abomination
When the player follows the footsteps of Count Geonor’s wife to the desert, after a series of trials, the player will eventually face the final boss of Act 2, Jamanra, The Abomination.
Jamanra is a boss who is very good at fire and lightning. Its own melee attack is not fatal. The real difficulty of this boss battle comes from the changes in the battlefield. Jamanra will summon a sandstorm in the first stage, and the player needs to hide behind Jamanra as soon as possible. Jamanra will summon many tornadoes in the second stage, which further compresses the player’s movement space.
As the health value decreases, Jamanra’s spell range will become larger and larger. You can lead him to a safe place before attacking him. Perhaps because of the desert environment, Jamanra is more afraid of cold, which is its only weakness. After defeating it, you may get Runes and POE 2 Exalted Orb.
Rank 4: Viper Napuatzi
The player will fight Viper Napuatzi in Utzaal. She is the boss that the player must fight in Act 3. At the beginning of the battle, Viper Napuatzi’s men will gather together to form a small boss room. Viper Napuatzi will apply poison to you at the beginning of the battle, and all your supplies will be quickly consumed.
And as time goes by, her soldiers will shrink the battle field little by little, leaving you no room to hide. You must get rid of Viper Napuatzi as soon as possible, but Viper Napuatzi is resistant to all three elements. It is best to use physical or chaos damage against Viper Napuatzi. In addition, it is best to prepare enough anti-poison items before this battle.
After you deal with Viper Napuatzi, you will obtain some random POE 2 items, such as uncut support gems and uncut skill gems. However, you will not have much time to pick and choose, because her troops will soon attack you.
Rank 3: Doryani, Royal Thaumaturge
Doryani is the gatekeeper of Act 3. Players will encounter this powerful boss in The Testing Pit. He is imprisoned in this place along with his great creations. He has two phases. In the first phase, players need to face Doryani directly. He will float around the battlefield and release lightning, laser, and fire attacks on you. At the same time, he will release red crystals around the battlefield, which will explode after a short delay.
In the second phase, Doryani will assemble a mechanical scorpion, which will not only cause lightning and fire damage but also cold damage. The most difficult thing in the second stage is its laser cannon, which will quickly sweep across the field. At the same time, its other attacks are also very threatening.
You need to prepare some equipment that resists lightning and fire for this battle. After you defeat it, it will drop some valuable currency and will definitely drop at least one rare item.
Rank 2: Xesht, We That Are One
Xesht, We That Are One is the final boss of Breaches activity. Players need to collect 300 Breach Splinters to qualify to challenge Xesht, We That Are One.
On the way to Xesht, We That Are One, players must first face a lot of monsters. If players cannot deal with these enemies, you can’t even see Xesht. Players can use AOE skills to clear these monsters quickly. They are not weak, and some are even rare monsters. Players can use them to farm some currency.
When you break through the monsters and reach the end, you can really start to face Xesht, We That Are One.
It is resistant to all three elements, so you’re better off using Chaos and Physical damage to against it.
Rank 1: The Arbiter Of Ash
The Arbiter of Ash is the most powerful boss in the endgame, no doubt about that. Because the developers even made adjustments specifically for it. Players will not fail immediately when they die in the battle with The Arbiter of Ash, but will have several more chances to challenge him. If you exit the boss’ room directly, these chances will not be retained.
The Arbiter of Ash is a boss with powerful attacks and very agile movements. It is good at using fire. Many of its attacks can cover your entire screen. There is very little room for players to dodge. Even if the player stacks the fire resistance to the highest level, some of The Arbiter of Ash’s attacks can still kill the player directly.
